# Internet Gateway

## Overview

IGW is a **`door`** that allows public traffic from the Internet to access your VPC. You **attach** an IGW to the VPC.

## Flow: Make VPC connect to Internet

To make your Public subnet connect to the Internet

1. Attach IGW-id (Internet Gateway) to the Public subnet.
2. Add route table record, that points to igw-id. Ex: 0.0.0.0 --> igw-id
